Welcome to Dan Becker's Model Trains Site, a personal web site with articles on model trains, track layout and scenery.
I've been interested in model trains just about my entire life. When I was 4 years old, I had a wind up train on a plastic track, the Koo Koo Choo Choo". My older brother had a Lionel O Scale oval train set. In my middle school years, I had a basic HO layout that intersected my slot car tracks. And in 2007 at about age 45, I made a scenic N scale layout that I enjoyed very much but sold off because of lack of space. Most recently I am creating a scenic Z scale, the smallest common train scale generally available.
