This page shares flight plans and screen captures from a virtual round-the-world plane trip. The trip visited all continents and oceans of the world, major cities, landmarks, and world heritage sites.
This is Segment 05 of the thirteen segments of the trip. To go to the home page, or the previous or next page, click one of these text links.
This segment departs Hobart Tasmania, crosses Australia's vast interior, visits Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Mayan), and then crosses into South Asia to visit Bangladesh into India.
Some highlights include Uluru/Ayers Rock, Singapore, and all the great cities, forests, and coastlines of this region.
In the middle of Segment 05 day 25, you can see a zig-zag turn before Mandalay Burma (Myanmar). In between the towns of Namsang and Heho is a small town called Mong Pawn. On the Mong Pawn river is a bridge with a small crater and some trees growing out of it. This is where a B-25 bomber crashed in World War II during the China-Burma-India (CBI) campaign in 1945. My uncle James Hoenig and his crew all died there on that bombing mission.
