(Mud City, Orcland)- The Mud City Maulers lost to the Undead Team Death Squad 1-0 last night.
The Maulers pitiful showing began when the Death Squad capitalized on a touch back and the vampire helped get the ball into the endzone early in the game.
The Maulers almost scored but Oogah's pass was intercepted by a Ghoul! The rest of the first half and most of the second half saw the maulers stumbling, fumbling and getting knocked on their butts.
Late in the second half the "Squad" took the ball away. Their ghoul bobbled the ball in the endzone. The Great Garloo couldn't grab it and it went into the stands. It got thrown out into mid field. Maulers Blitzer "Thung" dove through mummies and got the ball. He tried to pass to Gobbo Tse Tse Flyboy, but the pass was inaccurate and the gun sounded the end of the game.
Mauler coach Skarg O'Toole has been busy trying to whip his guys (literally) back into shape. The one bright spot was lowley lineman "slopehead" Jones made a casualty and got an MVP. Said "Slopehead"-"maybe dah Blue Bombers hire me!
