Blood Bowl Rules Revisions

  1. Why have the four minute rule?

It limits the game time and prevents unending marathon sessions. It also adds tension and excitement by forcing players to move quickly and cause small errors.

  2. When should the timer be paused.

Pause the timer when an event outside the game causes hardship for the moving coach. Examples include rules debates, pizza delivery, phone calls, or heart attacks.

  3. Can't I have ten big guys on my team?.

No, this is an anti-cheese tournament.

Experienced Player Rules

  1. Do experienced players gain star player points?

Yes, they advance and act just like normal players.

  2. What are the limits of the experienced player attributes? Can I make an experied player with MA of 13?

No, experienced players are bound and limited by the values given in the formula so an MA of 13 is out. However, some attributes are unbounded (ST, AG) and the sky is the limit.

  3. Can I make a experienced player with any skill or mutation? Can I make an dwarf with a prehensile tail?

I am going to stick my neck out on the line and say yes. Any abuse of the system will be combated with the "Games WorkShop Miniatures Rule" which states that all players must be represented with an appropriate model. Therefore, a bunch of dwarves with tails may be bad for play balance, but at least the models will be cool.

  4. Is there a limit on the custom critters I can start with?

A new addition to the rules has been added which states: "ADDENDUM: There is a soft limit of 4 experienced players per team. Coaches may exceed 4 experienced players per team, but such a team shall be made public. The consensus of all coaches shall dictate on a case-by-case basis whether a given team with more than 4 experienced players may be allowed."
